Just like any other country, candidates from non-EU Countries need to apply for a student visa in order to study in the beautiful land of Australia. You need to apply for the Australian Student Visa at least three months before your travel to Australia.

Evidence of Financial Resources
After receiving the offer letter, you would be required to provide proof of financial resources that will be supporting you for tuition fees, travel and living.
Pay the Tuition fees and receive the Confirmation of Enrollment
Transfer the tuition fee amount and get your enrollment certificate from the university.
Online Application for the Australian Student Visa
Create an account on the DIBP’s online application portal– ImmiAccount (LINK) and submit a student visa application online. You can track the status of the visa through the ImmiAccount once you have applied for it. Documents required for the Australian Student Visa
- Evidence of enrolment (your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment)
- Indian passport
- A Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement
- Academic & work-experience documents
- IELTS/TOEFL Scores
- Financial ability
- Evidence of health insurance policy (Overseas Student Health Cover)
- The Statement of Purpose
- Passport size photographs

Pay the Visa Application Fees and Get the TRN
You need to pay around AUD620 usually for the visa application. After the payment, you will get the Transaction Reference Number. The cost of the visa application may also vary. Check the prices here.
Get a Medical Check
Undergo a complete medical examination by one of the doctors approved and assigned by the Immigration Australia. You can get the list of doctors on the link given. You need to submit the TRN for the Medical Check.
Wait for the Response
Once everything is over, you need to now wait for the response. Usually, the decision for the Australian Student Visa takes about 42 days. However, you may get it sooner as well.
